Now what should you do after a backpacking trip like that? Run a FREAKING MARATHON of course!

So, after a couple grueling days in the woods, Rachel decided that it would be a good idea to run a marathon the Sunday following the trip. Alright, to each his/her own, but I only run when chased...and even then, I think I'd like to stand my ground a little bit more. ;P (My Dad likes to say, "if you're going to get in a fight, use a utensil." Also, "If someone wants to fight, tell them no three times, after that...send them to the hospital and make them cross the street when you walk down the road." As well as, "The only unfair fight is the one you lose." All ties together and I LOVE IT.)

So, running is sometimes out of the question.
But there are some crazy people out there who are in better running condition than I'll probably ever be. Rachel is one of them.

I am extremely impressed with her. She ran this at under a 11 minute mile, split was 2 hours(ish) and final was 4 hours and 44 minutes. Can you even imagine running 26.2 miles in that amount of time? Shoot. I'd be laying in a ditch at mile 12.

Truckin' up the hill

It looks tiring...

Finish at 4:44:09! (Our good friend Krista in the foreground.)

That probably doesn't hurt at all!

Case and point...

I heard the massage was nice

Interesting how hardship can bring people together
